Exciting developments! I am now in league with a sound guy! We've been working together for the past few weeks and things are progressing nicely. He's making all the sounds and music for the game and I'm still honing and bug-squishing. The biggest hurdle I've crossed so far as of this posting is (*trumpet fanfare*) I've fixed the physics! That's right... no more sticking in places that you ought not get stuck! Now I'm sure some enterprising player will try their damnedest to get stuck somewhere to prove me wrong (and succeed), but that's welcome game-testing I will willingly embrace.

We are now calling the game SUPER Gunball, in the spirit of NES / SNES era games. Checking online, there is another Super Gun Ball app out for mobile devices, but it's not at all like what I'm doing here. That other one is really bad. For example: the background music on it is It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas. I'm not worried about us getting confused with it.

So I now have a sound guy working on this hobbyist project of mine. I'm still in need of an artist. So since I'm not all that social (but I'm working on it!) and don't have a wad of dinero to throw at a professional, I'm going with free stuff. That's right, public domain and free-use art. I'll credit the source, of course, and alter the art to suit my needs, but since I'm not going to court a free artist with pitiful begging on forums and promises of percentages of possible tens of dollars in sales (for a free demo!), I'm biting the bullet and going half-way on my art needs. With that long story out of the way, I'm just going to say that SUPER Gunball now has some excellent sounds (more to come!) and the art is getting better.
